Stonehaven main events



Feein Market



Stonehavens famous Feein Market invites you for a whole day of fun, frolics and banter for all the family and generations. A packed programme of live music and acts all day in the square together with stalls, games, kids rides, great food, fare and good company.

Stall holders and visitors are encouraged to dress in traditional farming attire so join in the fun, dress up for the occasion if you wish and kick off the summer at Stonehavens premier event. 

On 1st Saturday in June each year from 10am to 4pm







Harbour Festival, Stonehaven



The Stonehaven Rotary Club, Round Table and Lions club have got together to organise the Festival.
THis event was originally run by the Maritime Rescue Institute (MRI) which unfortunately closed in 2013

There will be lots of stalls, entertainment and things happening in the sea similar to the Harbour Hi Jinks which is now part of the Harbour Festival..











Hogmanay Ceilidh



Dance your way into the New Year at the Hogmanay Ceilidh at Stonehaven Town Hall

This annual event has been extremely popular since it started for Hogmanay in 1999 and has always sold out. Dancing will be to the popular ceilidh band “Cabrach” and there will be a licensed bar for refreshment. No BYO drink and no Glass containers, bags may be checked.

The party starts at 8:30 with guests being piped in to the hall and dancing starts at 9:00. There will of course be a raffle and a break for the obligatory “bottle roll”. Some guests usually pop out to see the fireballs and come back after the bells to carry on dancing, the Ceilidh finishes at 01:30. The ceilidh is fully seated with a table plan, and guests will be shown to their seats by the Stewards.




Mid Summer Happening



The Midsummer Beer Happening in Stonehaven usually happens on the third or 4th weekend in June at Mineralwell Park. 


This is a 3 day event usually attracting over 5,000 visitors.

It originally started with the owner of the Marine Hotel in Stonehaven talking to a few local guys about organising a Beer Festival in the local Town Hall.

The Stonehaven Real Ale Festival happened in November 2009. In 2014 they decided to rename the event to Mid Summer Happening with the venue a large marquee at Mineralwell Park.

There is always a large selection of award winning beers an ciders, music and food.A real fun event that raises thousands of pounds for local charities.



R.W. Thomson Annual Vintage Rally



A Display of Vintage & Classic Cars,Motorcycles, Commercials,Military,Tractors, Stationary Engines

Held at Mineralwell Park, Stonehaven AB39 2AN on last Sunday in June each year.

The RW Thomson Memorial Rally was first held in 1967 to honour R.W. Thomson (1822-73) the inventor of the pneumatic tyre in 1845 (UK Patent 10990). It has been organised since 1976 by the Robert William Thomson Memorial Fellowship which was formed to perpetuate his memory in 1975.

The New year fireballs

The Folk Festival
